This is the image thas left fans of the 'Game of Thrones' series and books speechless
By: L.M.
It’s been retweeted more than 20,000 times and has racked up over 50,000 likes. And it’s hardly surprising, since the discovery made by Ryan Broderick, a news reporter at Buzzfeed, will send a shiver down your spine if you’re a fan of the Game of Thrones books or series.
The reason anyone who sees this tweet might be left gasping for air is fairly obvious, as the comparison of an image of Kit Harington, the actor who plays Jon Snow, with another of a young George R. R. Martin may lead you to believe that everything is part of some weird plan hatched by the creators of the universe.
If the most hare-brained theories ahead of season eight and the publication of The Winds of Winter are that Bran could, in reality, be the Night King, then nothing could stop us from thinking that in this world - the real one, the one which allegedly is not fantasy and we can touch with our own hands - Harington is a kind of Martin from the past who has come to our time to get us hooked on the story. And when Martin finally kills Nieve, he will actually be killing himself and the world will, therefore, somehow implode.
And that is why Martin is not killing Snow, and that is why the Game of Thrones books will never end, because Martin is immortal and the only mortals are us, and what’s more, this world - the real one, the one that is apparently not fantasy - is just a fiction that exists in the head of the Game of Thrones character BECAUSE, WHAT THE FUCK, THIS ISN’T REAL LIFE. REAL LIFE IS WESTEROS, AND THAT MEANS WE’RE ALL LOST AND THAT SOMEONE’S BEEN TAKING US FOR A RIDE. FOR CENTURIES.
But no.
It’s just a photo.
Honestly.
Just a very funny photo.
