Move over Kim Kardashian, because your throne has been taken
Dressed in a ruffled pink gown, tousled hair falling past her neck as she protectively clutches her newborn twins, Beyoncé has ‘broken the internet’.
Just when you thought Queen Bey’s pregnancy announcement was the photo to end all photos, she’s treated the world to a dazzling image of her new arrivals on ">Instagram.
And it. is. glorious.
The internet is in meltdown. The BeyHive is buzzing like a bumblebee on acid. Instagram has reached peak beauty.
Beyoncé gave birth to her twins, named Sir Carter and Rumi, a month ago and impatient fans have been waiting anxiously for the big reveal.
It didn’t disappoint.
Set against the backdrop of the deep blue ocean and and a vivid flower arrangement, the singer tilts her head towards the sun, with an elegant blue vale sweeping down her back. The tiny babies sleep in her arms. The caption reads: ‘Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today.’
The image - uploaded just four hours ago at the time of writing - has already amassed 4.3 million likes and hundreds of thousands of comments. Could this beat the reigning title of, well, Beyoncé’s baby announcement earlier this year, as the most liked picture on Instagram?
Names of the children were revealed a couple of weeks ago, and it is rumoured that husband and father of her children Jay-Z is seeking trademark protection for them. According to reports, the company that owns the trademarks for the couple’s names have filed legal documents for ‘Rumi Carter’ and ‘Sir Carter’.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z already have a five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
Naturally, after Beyoncé uploaded the photograph of her twins to Instagram, people have been going nuts on social media channels.
