It looked like the Kardashian queen had made a criminal social media faux pas...

It’s not really that surprising when millionaire celebrities are caught sniffing a line or two of cocaine: the most ‘glamorous’, not to mention expensive, drug you can get your hands on.

But when Kim Kardashian shared a selfie on her Snapchat story yesterday, promoting The Kids Supply, a children’s clothing line, with what looked like two lines of white powder racked up and ready to go on a table behind her, she was quick to 'shut down' those rumours. She’s a mum-of-two after all.

kim k drugs Yes, the worktop looked like it was straight out of a Skins after party. In fact, the evidence seemed indisputable: Kim K’s hobbies now include makeup contouring, posing for nude selfies, and settling down in her various mansions for an after-dinner sniff. Observant followers were quick to point out the supposed ‘faux pas’ of a high-class druggie, but Kim sniped back with a post on Twitter, first claiming that the ‘cocaine’ was in fact just leftover sugar from an earlier trip to New York’s Dylan’s Candy Bar with her daughter North West.

She wrote: ‘I do not play with rumors like this so I'm gonna shut it down real quick. That's sugar from our candy mess from dylan's candy shop.’ It may sound like an unconvincing story, but photographs have since emerged of the mother-daughter duo leaving the sweet shop.

But, the drama didn't end there. Kim took to Snapchat and Twitter again last night to share a short clip of herself talking to the camera, explaining that what she previously thought was candy sugar is actually white imperfections in marble. Who would’ve guessed!
Offering an explanation, she said in the video: ‘C’mon I don’t play like that, I have kids, it’s just not my lifestyle, I’ve never been like that. I just really can’t believe this, that it was a marble table and I thought it was candy.’ The camera zooms in to show genuine marks on the surface of her marble table. Following up on comedic events, Kim also posted on Twitter, laughing: ‘OMG you guys!!! Check my snap chats or insta stories I'm crying!!! That was not candy on my table! The table was marble this whole time!’, alongside three crying laughing emojis.

There are bound to be many disappointed people who thrive off Kardashian controversy, but it seems that this latest ‘cocaine’ saga was just a big mix-up. Kim walks free.
