This employee probably isn't having the best day at work...We all know, deep-down, that humans are sex-crazed perverts, right? A recent survey by Time Out New York found that 39% of people admitted to masturbating at work, so maybe it should be no surprise that someone in the BBC News office was caught watching scenes of a sexual nature. During the ‘News at 10’ broadcast, aired on Tuesday night, a BBC employee learnt the hard way not to watch illicit material in the workplace. As anchor Sophie Raworth read the latest headlines, a screen in the background displayed a NSFW sex scene, without her knowledge. In the short clip, a woman can be seen getting ‘frisky’ while pulling off her top.
Although the keyboard warriors of the world are hoping this is a monumental slip-up by someone employed at the BBC, and prudish conservatives slam the broadcasting company’s ‘irresponsibility’, this faux pas was most likely an unfortunate mistake. Rather than getting their jollies on to pornography, this unlucky person was probably reviewing or editing a TV show with sex scenes, or a programme that the BBC itself produces. And what you can see of the clip is a far cry from hardcore porn. However, if a ‘source’ close to The Sun is to be believed, the said employee is going to be punished with the vengeance of a thousand fiery suns. ‘This has gone down like a lead balloon at the BBC,’ they told the publication. ‘It is totally unprofessional. It beggars belief a sex scene should be played live on air. The employee is on borrowed time when bosses catch up with him. You can’t get away with this sort of stuff anymore.’
