A lesson in nature; red in tooth and claw
Hunger got the better of this giant stingray sharing a tank with a squid in a Japanese aquarium. He spotted the delicious-looking cephalopod and moved in for the kill.
The footage leaves us wondering exactly how much ink fits inside a single squid. It also makes us think twice about the stingray: they're not usually considered dangerous to humans, but it's worth remembering that they're related to sharks.
Aquarium visitors screamed in horror as the giant stingray ate the squid in front of their eyes, giving them all a valuable lesson in nature, red in tooth and claw. Predators devour their prey without thinking twice and life (for some) goes on.
