Digital manipulation sparks controversy once again

Suicide Squad was one of the most controversial films of 2016. Its elaborate marketing campaign helped sell tickets, but critics were far from impressed and reviewed David Ayer's superhero film harshly.

And now it looks like Suicide Squad is in for some more controversy. A new video by FilmIsNow Movie Bloopers & Extras that explores the visual effects used in the movie has revealed that Cara Delevingne was digitally retouched to look slimmer.

The model-turned-actress was digitally slenderized for her role as Enchantress.

As well as the video, a GIF has emerged showing how Delevingne's waist was altered to look smaller for a number of scenes.

At first it's not that easy to see the difference, but if you pay attention to the close-up images of Delevingne, the slimming down becomes clear.

Warner Bros has yet to comment on the matter.
