'I want to share a drunk face with you. Let's have a drink, Geraldine'

OK, let's just rewind the tape a bit. Last week, a Reddit user called Denver Dodd shared a photo he'd recently found of his grandmother – somewhat inebriated – at a party in Tulsa in 1967. Back then, the lady happened to look remarkably like the actress Scarlett Johansson. Everyone lost it and the story quickly went viral.

Now, what we were all secretly hoping would happen has happened: Scarlett has found out about Denver's miraculous discovery and she wants to meet her septuagenarian lookalike. In fact, she wants to invite her out for a few drinks. Here's the video:

'This video is for Grandma Geraldine. Geraldine, I cannot tell you. I have been inundated with emails and messages about how much we look alike, and I had to look at the photo myself. Holy cr-p. I want to meet you in person. I saw that you were, quote, "drunk as a skunk" when taking that photo, and I would like to see your drunk face. I want to share a drunk face with you. Let's have a drink, Geraldine. Do you want to come see Rough Night with me? Be my guest. We're a bunch of partying girls so it's a good running theme, and I'll cover all your hidden costs. I'll see you at the bar. Be there or be square.'

Some suspect that Johansson may have ulterior motives.

Others wanted to get in on the act...

While some had revelations of their own to share.

But everyone was united in crossing their fingers and hoping that Geraldine would agree.

According to Denver, Geraldine is indeed up to the challenge: 'In a heartbeat, she said "yes". Who says no to Scarlett?'

Geraldine herself had this to say to TIME magazine: 'I'm not going to be square. I'm going to drink with her [and] see if I can drink her under the table. She has got to remember to take it easy on me. I'm 40 years older than her.'

Scarlett, you just won 1000 points ❤
