Aleppo, 26th of November.  Difficult afternoon in the East.

Aleppo, 27th of November.  The army got in, this could be our last days sincerely talking. No Internet. Please please please pray for us.- Fatemah #Aleppo

These Tweets belong to the account of Bana Alabed, a 7-year-old Syrian girl who, since September, has been documenting day-to-day life in Aleppo, a city ravaged by war.

With the help of her mother, she tells us what it means to live with the sound of bombs, smoke and the constant fear of dying in one of the attacks that continue to devastate the city.

In 140 characters, Bana shows the despair of the Syrian citizens, caused by a war that has lasted far too long.

In barely a year, the young girl's Twitter profile has managed to accumulate over 170,000 followers and has attracted the attention of numerous celebrities, such as J.K. Rowling, who recently sent Alabed digital editions of the Harry Potter books.

There, Bana describes the life of a 7-year-old forced to live in a war zone. Until, last Sunday, things became significantly worse.

We have no home now. I got minor injury. I didn't sleep since yesterday, I am hungry. I want to live, I don't want to die. - Bana

Fortunately, this time Bana managed to miraculously escape death.  However, the consequences were catastrophic.  This is her last Tweet.
